Description
Initial nosing confirms this to be more wonderfully bonkers juice from this most enigmatic of distilleries. Molten jellied fruits, pineapple syrup, green malt drizzled with honey, sweet muesli, crystallised citrus fruits, gooseberry cordial and strawberry lip balm. Curiously reminiscent of some very old Irish pure pot still whiskey. Evolves with some lightly carbolic edges, fermenting beer notes and bubblegum ice cream. Reduction adds lemon cough drops, vanilla foam, cut grass, delicate background medicines and a hint of lavender. Superb! In the mouth it's delightfully syrupy in texture. Fruit juices from a tin, star fruit, guava, dessert wines of indeterminate origin, hints of olive oil, cooling wort, melon and boiled lime sweets. Water brings wood polish, herbal teas, jasmine, sandalwood, light salinity, vegetable broth and the tannic nibble of black tea.
