Since its introduction in 2000, the SFWSC has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world, with a medal award recognised as an indicator of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

“This is a really welcome and encouraging result, demonstrating that SMWS whiskies and spirits are celebrated for their exceptional quality and diversity,” said SMWS spirits director Kai Ivalo. “The fact that Peat Faerie also collected a Gold medal is recognition of the craft, attention to detail and quality of our blended malts range, while our Single Cask Spirits collection is also going from strength to strength.

“The San Francisco World Spirits Competition awards also reinforce our Tasting Panel’s expertise in finding truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind single cask whiskies, and demonstrate the consistent quality we offer to our members around the world.

“For non-members, what are you waiting for? The Society is the perfect place to start your journey into the magical world of single cask, single malt.”
