Description
The first impression is of clotted cream, with a suggestion of apricot jam, on a base of freshly-baked floury scone. A drop of water introduces a buttery note at first, which then becomes more estery (acetone) and fruity (fresh apples, pears and grapes) on a somewhat dusty base (flour again?). A smooth texture and a sweet and lightly acidic taste with a relatively short finish.
